Ortal has extensive experience in corporate and securities law, and she provides legal advice and ongoing consultation to boards of directors and board committees. She advises on and handles matters in connection with controlling shareholder transactions, tender offers, corporate governance issues, officer compensation plans, administrative enforcement plans and more. She has experience in complex merger, split and reorganization transactions, investment transactions, sale transactions, and commercial agreements.
 

For some 20 years, Ortal served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of one of Israel's largest retail groups, Alon Israel Oil Company Ltd., which held public companies (traded in the U.S. and Israel) and private companies in various sectors, with extensive operations in the oil and natural gas exploration industry in Israel and in the United States, LPG, food and textiles.
